Alexandra Catellian is a journalist working for the Black Horse Courier in Cyrodiil. She's a junior reporter and is the one sent to cover the sweet roll baking competition at the Summer Festival, and the under-12s archery competition (which actually came in useful).
Determined to make a name for herself, she makes her way into Skyrim looking for a 'real' story, but she's captured crossing the border and faces execution in Helgen.
This is our new protagonist. A bit more of a people person than Lily, it'll be interesting to see how she tackles some of the same scenarios. It can be a bit of a surprise how things work out; after all, I did not expect Lily to get along with Serana, for example. Being a journalist after a story also gives Alex the curiosity to get herself into all sorts of scrapes, whereas Lily was simply self-centred.
The first part of Alex's story is done, and out on YouTube. I've called the series 'Indefinite Article'. Because Alex is probably wanted by the Imperial Army after she escapes Helgen, she signs only 'A' on her reports. And 'a' is the indefinite article. Plus, she wasn't quite sure what story she was going to write in Skyrim - another indefinite article.
The first six episodes are compiled into 'The Way up the Mountain' and available on YouTube (and Alex's character page) and the series goes on.
I switched mod lists for Alex, and then upgraded the mod list from episode three. It's a very heavy mod list and I had to switch recording methods, but the result is a much smoother video. The difference is very clear.
I do hope you enjoy Alex's story. We can explore some of the quests we missed out on with Lily and some of the new ones that came with the new mod list. I'm sure she'll get herself into all sorts of trouble!
